Weave your way through winter with our first ever Mystery Weave-A-Long! The end product will be a great accessory to have as we transition from winter into early spring!
Class meetings will briefly review direct warping, planning for finishing techniques, hemstitching and more!
Students will receive clues each week via email, we will have an hour of teaching techniques & discussion to answer any questions you have during class meetings, and a full copy of the pattern at the end of the WAL.
Prerequisite Skills
Students need to be able to warp and weave independently, with direction from our mystery clues. The
pattern is an advanced beginner difficulty level.
Supplies & Materials
- Rigid Heddle Loom with 16″ weaving width & 12.5 dpi heddle
(15″ RHL with a 12 dent heddle OR 2 shaft loom with a 12 dent reed will also work! Multi-shaft floor or table looms may require more yardage, depending on your loom waste. This pattern accounts for 24″ of loom waste, some of which will be used in the finishing.) - Standard weaving notions, including multiple shuttles
- 2 400 yd + 1 200 yd fingering weight gradient cakes from Stone Barn Fibers – all in the same color way!
(5 50 gr/200+ yd balls of gradient fingering weight OR 3 100 gr/400+ yd balls of gradient yarn dyed to create matching pairs of socks will also work!)
Homework
There will be homework between each clue release!
