General Fiber Arts

Color Theory for Fiber Artists

Primary, secondary, tertiary colors? Shades, Tones, Tints? Complimentary, intermediate, analogous colors? Learn how all these concepts affect color in your fiber arts projects and how to choose color confidently and successfully! We will talk about how to apply color choices in knit, crochet, spinning and weaving.

Oh, Darn!

Handmade items are too precious to abandon when they become worn, or *gasp* develop a small hole.  In this class, you will learn how to repair or embellish your handknits using the Katrinkles darning loom.

Potholder Make & Take

Need a few quick holiday gifts for teachers or care-givers?  Need just a little something more for a gift? Cooking more at home has made you realize you need some sturdy potholders? Come learn how to make thick cotton potholders on a potholder loom!  We will learn how to weave the potholders using cotton loops and then remove them from the loom by closing all the loops.  Come for an hour and leave with a ready-to-gift handmade item!
